A heaven on earth...

One of my ideals is a world full of peace and love.
Love, for all what lives and is.
A heaven on earth.

I am trying to realize this on my own simple way, by
kindness, for example. Smiling to everyone you meet
is an example.
Or, give somebody else something, what you love to
receive by yourself. That can be a present, but also
a smile, a card, a phonecall, or a email.
Share your joys with others.
Give a listening ear, for somebody who is feeling sad.
Don't judge, but try to understand, because remember this:
how many miles did you walk in the other person's shoes?

A beautiful message, which I received in my emails, is:
Pretend, that you are enlighted! Pretend!

On my own simple way I am trying to realize a heaven on earth.
If everybody would do the best he/she can, by doing this
on his/hers own way,  on the way which fits you the best,
then this heaven on earth will become reality!

On this page I want to give space to people who are trying to
realize this ideal on their own specific way. Have a look on
their websites. Maybe you will find something, which attracs
or inspires you. We cannot change the world on our own,
but we can do it together!

with love, Anneke

The Rainbow Tree Foundation in the Netherlands is an independent, non-subsidised foundation affiliated to the Rainbow Sanctuary Association in the UK. We began in the Netherlands in 1992 and since then have become active throughout the country and working with well-trained volunteers.

Once upon a time there was a little girl in England, who was seriously ill. One night she dreamed about a beautiful forest full of rainbows: a forest where she felt happy and carefree - she forgot she was ill. When she awoke, the forest was still vivid in her mind and she discovered she could re-visit it whenever and as often as she likes.

A fairy tale, but for real.

That little girl's name was Holly, she died of leukaemia in 1986. The rainbow forest helped her through the final and most difficult stage of her life. Her great wish was that other children, who are ill, should have a safe place in their own minds. The Rainbow Tree Foundation and Rainbow Sanctuary Association aim to make that wish come true.

The Rainbow forest is a safe place in your dreams. A place where, for a while, you are not fighting disease, fear or pain. A place you can create yourself, where you feel free and safe. This can give you the strength to cope with difficult situations, to find courage, peace and joy.

Time and again children have shown us, that with just a little help, they are able to find inner strength and dignity. They can find their way to the rainbow forest whenever they need to with the help of the 'Rainbow Crystal', that is given to all the children. When sunlight shines through the crystal all little rainbows appear. Over the Rainbow you can travel to your very own land of dreams.
